“All About the Bubble”
Intro to Glass Blowing
Saturday Sept. 10, 2016
This session is all about hot air and will focus on the bubble. Turn molten glass on a pipe and use tools, heat, gravity, and air pressure to transform it into hollow vessels such as a cup or a simple vase.
Saturday Sept. 17, 2016
This session is geared toward those who have taken a class or two and are beyond the basics. Working with instructor Tucker Litchfield, students will start out blowing a tumbler and work on creating a piece from their own sketches.
Students should bring lunch, a water bottle and safety glasses (sunglasses or prescription glasses will be fine). Cotton or wool is the best to wear, closed toed, comfortable shoes and long sleeves are recommended.
Enrollment is limited to six students for each session
